Choose from more than 40 activities that can be done in five to 10 minutes and easily incorporated during before-, after- or a summer school program. The "healthy breaks" offer adults who work with children an easy way to integrate health, wellness and movement at any time. Designed for children ages 5 and older, the activities work well in limited space and with limited resources. Activities are divided into six categories: quieting and meditative activities; esteem builders; social wellness activities; cooperative games; inclusion games; and energizing activities. An activity finder identifies each activity by National Health Education Standards, National Association for Sport and Physical Education Standards, grade level and time required.
