Materials

several drinking glasses (same size)

water

food coloring

Instructions

1. Fill several drinking glasses with water, increasing the amount in each glass.
2. Add food coloring to each glass of water.
3. Mix up the glasses so that they are in no particular order.
4. Ask the children to arrange the glasses in order according to the amount of
water in each.
More to do Music: Once the glasses have been arranged in order, demonstrate how to tap
the glasses with a spoon to make music. This will only work with glass, not plastic,
so supervise carefully.
