Instructions

1. Prepare hearts in advance by tracing a heart shape onto pastel paper. Prepare
enough hearts for the amount of children in your class. Make sure that at
least three of the hearts are yellow.
2. Laminate the hearts for longevity.
3. Ask the children to sit in a circle. Put a basket of stickers or candy hearts in
the middle of the circle.
4. Give each child a heart to hold.
5. As the children pass the hearts around the circle clockwise, sing the following
song to the tune of "Pop Goes the Weasel."
All around the circle now
The hearts are passing by,
Whoever gets the yellow heart
STOP!
Will you be mine?
6. When you sing "Stop!" everyone stops passing the hearts and the children
who have a yellow heart pick a treat.
7. Keep playing until everyone has picked a treat.
