small wading pool

several small watering cans
eight pieces of straight PVC piping long enough to fit around the wading pool
four pieces of straight PVC piping about 3' long
eight PVC elbows
heavy, clear plastic sheet
journal
Instructions
1. Fill a large tub with twigs, leaves, yarn, feathers, and grass.
2. Encourage the children to use clothespins to try to pick up the items
in the tub.
3. The children can try to move the items from one area to the other or use
them to build a bird's nest.
