Materials

fresh flowers

flower press or several heavy books

wax paper

Instructions

1. Take a walk with the children and let them pick flowers, or have them
bring flowers from home. (Be sure not to pick flowers from private
property.)
2. Position the flowers in a flower press or place them in a piece of folded
wax paper and put them inside or under large books.
3. After several weeks, remove the pressed flowers.
4. Make bookmarks by ironing the flowers inside the wax paper or placing
them on colored paper and laminating them.
5. You can also use pressed flowers to make Mother's Day Cards.
