2 pieces of white construction paper (12" x 18") per child
stapler
red and blue crayons, markers, or paint
Instructions
1. Put two pieces of paper together and fold as if making a newspaper hat.
Staple at both ends to hold the hat together.
2. Encourage the children to decorate their hats using red and blue crayons,
markers, or paint. This is a nice time to show the American flag and talk
about the colors in the flag. See if anyone knows the name of our president.
3. After the hats are finished, have a parade using rhythm band instruments or
homemade instruments.
