Materials

digital or 35 mm camera

poster board

glue stick

markers

computer and printer or access to a photo processor

Instructions

1. Children cut out long strips of paper to use as road strips.
2. Talk about the different kinds of road signs the children might see as they
ride around, such as stop, yield, mph, school, and railroad crossings.
3. Help the children make the signs.
4. Lay out the strips of paper to make roads. Tape the traffic signs around the
room.
5. At any transition time, children pretend they are cars going along the road
and they must obey the traffic signs along the way.
