Instructions

* Hanukkah is an eight-day celebration that is celebrated on the 25th day
of the Hebrew month of Kislev, which usually occurs in December (but
sometimes in November).
1. Beforehand, draw a menorah on eight 5" x 7" cards. Draw one Hanukkah
candle on the menorah on the first card, two candles on the second card,
and continue until there are eight candles on the last card.
2. Show the children individually or in small groups how to arrange the
menorah cards in order from one through eight candles.
3. Provide a box of Hanukkah candles for children to place on each candle
depicted in the cards to practice one-to-one correspondence.
More to do Games: Provide a real menorah. Put the menorah cards in a pile face down.
The child draws a card from the pile and puts the number of candles
depicted on the card into the real menorah.
