Paper cups, two for each child

Small pie pans, two for each child
Instructions
1. When taking attendance each morning, say each child's name.

2. Allow time for the child to say, "Good Morning." Then ask the child a
question about his morning or the night before, or comment about an article
of clothing he is wearing or other outward appearance.
3. This allows for a personal interaction between the teacher and the child each
day.

Have a "style show" of new items that the child has brought in. For example, a
new hat for winter will lend itself to a discussion of the different types and
purposes of hats.
