Materials

One or more pairs of used clean jeans (adult size)scissorspapergluemarkers or crayons

Instructions

1. Cut the jeans at the seams so that you have one layer of denim. Use thedenim to cut out small 2" to 4" pairs of jeans. Vary the sizes andstyles of the jeans for interest. Make sure there areenough for each child to choose at least one pair for theart project.2. Give each child a piece of blank paper. Ask them to pick apair of jeans and glue them on their paper.3. Encourage them to use crayons or markers to fill in thehead and body for the jeans.4. Ask the children to title their pictures(Sally's Jeans) or have them write a story oranswer a question ("Where are Sally's jeansgoing?").5. Display the worksof art!
