Instructions

1. Tell the children that they can use math all day, every day!2. At circle time, count each child as he sits down.

3. Before snack, ask them to pair up to wash their hands. Ask them to count out a certain number of crackers to eat. Count out loud when passing out napkins and cups. Encourage the children to join in.

4. As the children line up for outdoor time, count and touch each child's head. Encourage them to count how many steps it takes to walk to the back door, how many hops around the sidewalk, and how many tricycles are outdoors.

5. Encourage them to count their fingers while waiting.

6. Count, count, count, all the time, out loud, for children to hear and join in!
