Instructions

1. Talk about how sunlight makes colors fade.

2. Tape squares of different color construction paper to the windows, making sure to have sheet of each color left over to compare later.

3. Over the next two to three weeks pull the squares down periodically and compare them to the original color. Which colors faded the most? Which colors faded the fastest?4. If you have access to windows in different areas of the building, watch to see if the colors fade differently depending on how much sunlight each area gets.More to doArt: When the experiment is over, glue the colored squares on bulletin board paper to make a giant rainbow. * Paint with the colors that turn out to fade the most and the least.
