Materials

clear plastic bottles (all different sizes)

water

vegetable oil

food coloring

dish soap

glitter

sequins

small plastic animals

craft glue

tape

Instructions

1. Tell the children that they are going to help make "magic pudding."
2. Open the package of pistachio pudding and pour it into a mixing bowl.
Show the children that the color of the pudding powder is white. You
may need to use two or three packages of pudding mix, depending on
the number of children in the class.
3. Tell the children that when they say the magic word, the pudding will
turn green. Let the children help decide what the magic word should
be.
4. Pour the milk into the bowl (check package for amount).Tell the
children to say the magic word.
5. Let the children take turns stirring the pudding. The children will see the
white powder turn into green pudding. Magic!
6. Serve the pudding for snack.
Safety Note: If any of the children have nut allergies, do not do this
activity.
