Instructions
1. Try this transition activity when you have a few extra moments.
2. Talk about pets and how pets move.
3. The group chooses a pet to imitate. One example would be a cat. All the
children pretend to be a cat. The children curl up like a sleeping cat. They
arch their backs and stretch out their legs when they wake up. They walk and
purr like a cat. They clean their ears, slink, and creep. They lie on their backs
and bat at toys and string. Ask, "How does a cat act when it's angry?"
4. Repeat the activity, pretending to be a dog, horse, or hamster.
