What to do
1. Have one child volunteer to lie down and be traced on butcher paper to make the outline of
the clown's body.
2. Cut out the outline into six pieces: head, body, two arms, and two legs.
3. Divide the children into five groups.
4. Have each group color their part of the clown as colorfully as they can. Encourage pattern-like
stripes, dots or other shapes.
5. Decorate the head with a typical clown face.
6. Have the children help re-assemble the clown and tape him on a wall in the classroom, complete
with his creatively colorful clown outfit.
