* April is National Garden Month. 1. Give each child a strawberry basket. Ask the children to decorate pieces of paper to fit the sides of their baskets and glue them to the outside of the baskets. 2. Put sandwich bags inside the baskets. 3. Let children put potting soil in the bags, and take a handful of grass seed and plant it in the soil. 4. Make a handle for the baskets by twisting two pipe cleaners together and attaching them to opposite sides of the baskets. 5. Put the baskets in a sunny place and water regularly.
