Red felt

Scissors

Safety pins

Needles and thread

Wool

Nutmeg

Cinnamon

Cloves

Instructions

1. Ahead of time, cut two red apples from felt for each child and pin them together.
2. Help the children sew the pieces of felt together; have them keep their stitches close to the
edge and sew about two-thirds of the way around the apple.
3. Invite the children to stuff the apples with wool, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
4. When they are finished, they can stitch the opening closed.
