  • Here are things that you can do to teach your toddler about opposites.
    • Swing him high in the air and say, "High."
    • Swing him low to the ground and say, "Low."
    • Hold your toddler's arms and move them out and say, "Out."
    • Move his arms in and say, "In." Say, "Up" and "Down" as you move his arms and legs up and down.
    • Drop an object in a container and say, "In."
    • Take the object out and say, "Out."
