Marketing & Sales Coordinator

POSITION OBJECTIVE  

The candidate will support and execute the overarching sales and marketing strategy for Gryphon House, Inc. and our affiliated businesses – namely ExtendED Notes and Kaplan Early Learning Company’s Curriculum Assessment and Professional Development brands – to establish our company as the number one resource for early childhood education needs. The sales and marketing coordinator will maintain the voice of the company and its brands across all traditional and digital channels and support the larger vision for the company in all communications with varying audiences (trade, international, education). The marketing and sales coordinator will support all members of the marketing team and will report to the Marketing and Sales Strategist.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Content Marketing – Create and implement blog post strategy and develop posts to align with content strategy for Gryphon House, Inc., and our affiliated businesses.
  • Event Planning – Support trade conference planning, creative asset management, and shipment coordination.
  • Maintain Sales Platforms – Update digital content across sales platforms (Eloquence, Edelweiss, Amazon), manage CAPL digital properties (C4L Portal) and execute sales needs on the company’s CRM platform (Salesforce).
  • Business Development – Support Requests for Proposals (RFP) submissions for our Curriculum, Assessment and Professional Learning brands (research, assemble submissions)
  • Product Management – Research, identify and recommend merchandising opportunities of Kaplan product for Gryphon House and ExtendED Notes websites; manage review process for Gryphon House books (collect reviews, update digital properties)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related field. 1-2 years’ experience in Marketing required. Experience with Salesforce CRM platform a plus.

Requirements:

  • Isn’t afraid to bring new ideas to the table
  • Enjoys working in a scrappy, start-up minded and uber-collaborative environment
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple deadlines
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills, both in-person, and over digital medium
  • Digital marketing and content and lead gen execution experience

Marketing & Sales Intern

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The candidate will support and execute the overarching sales and marketing strategy for Gryphon House, Inc. and our affiliated businesses – namely ExtendED Notes and Kaplan Early Learning Company’s Curriculum Assessment and Professional Development brands – to establish our company as the number one resource for early childhood education needs. The marketing intern will support all members of the marketing team and will report to the Digital Marketing and Brand Strategist.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Content Marketing – Draft blog post content to align with overarching content plan and cadence, develop creative assets, post content to website.
  • Event Planning – Support trade shipment coordination.
  • Community Management – Support social media content planning and execution across social channels.
  • Public Relations –Research resources to expand awareness of Gryphon House, its authors and its affiliated brands and products; develop media list with traditional and digital education-focused media; Identify local and national pitching opportunities; assemble direct mail kits.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Working toward a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related field. Marketing experience preferred.
