Magnets-Pulling Power

Materials
Strong magnet
Piece of paper
Cloth
Paper clip
Foil

What to do

1. Let the children try picking up just the paper clip with the magnet.
   
2. Now put a piece of paper over the clip and let them try to pick it up.
   
3. Next, put a piece of foil over the clip and try to pick it up.
   
4. Finally, put a piece of cloth over the clip and see what happens.
   
5. Each time the clip will stick to the magnet. The pulling power of a magnet is strong!
