What to do
- Copy a Pteranodon pattern onto cardboard and cut it out. This will serve as a stencil.
- Let the children trace the stencil or draw a dinosaur freehand on construction paper. Each child will need three or more dinosaur shapes.
- The children can watch you cut out the dinosaurs and punch a hole in each. the older children can cut them out themselves.
- Cut a piece of yarn for each dinosaur, varying the lengths.
- Show the children how to thread the yarn through the hole, and then you tie a know in each to hold the yarn in place.
- Tie the other end of the yarn to the clothes hangers. Hang and wait for a breeze to make the Pteranodons fly!
