
Materials Transparent colored florist or craft wrap (red, yellow, blue) Tape A sunny window 3 to 6 pieces of shirt cardboard
What to do
- Tape a 1' (30 cm) square section of a colored transparent wrap to a sunny window.
- Use the shirty cardboard to make color paddles by first folding the cardoard in half, then cutting out a "window." Then unfold. tape transparent wrap over this cutout holel Refold andtape the cardboard shut. Make at least one color paddle for each color.
- When the sun hits your window it should cast a patch of colored sunlight through the transparent wrap into the classroom.
- Encourage the children to hold the color paddles up to the window to mix and change the colors.
