What to do
- Read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? to the children.
- Give each child a color chip, then ask each child to find something in the room that is the same color as his chip. Children take turns naming their color and finding an object in the room thatis the same color.
- Take a wooden board and screww the cup hooks into the board.
- Have available a set of color ships that duplicates the children's. Punch a hole in each ship and laminate it. (Formica color chips also work well.) Put the duplicate set of chips into abasket.
- Ask the children to search throught the basket for a matching color ship and then hang their pair on a hook.
