Clear hair gel
Scissors
White construction paper, one piece per child
Construction paper circles of red, yellow, blue green, purple, and orange
Red, blue, and yellow paint
Duct tape

Marker What to do
- Put 1 part red and 2 parts yellow paint into a resealable plastic bag with a 1/4 cup (60 ml) of the hair gel.
- Seal the bag and secure the top with duct tape.
- Ask a child to squish the bag to mix the colors. What happens?
- Repeat steps 1 to 3, using 2 parts yellow and 1 part blue ina\ a bag with media mix, and then with equal parts of red and blue in a bag until all the bags are used.
- Help the children chart the results with construction paper circles and glue on a piece of white paper, using + and = signs, for example, red + yellow = orange.

Art: Snip the corner of the resealable plastic bags and encourage the children to squeeze out the paint, making designs on finger paint paper or other shiny paper. This way the contents of thebags will not be wasted. Original song
